FAQ
Can you repair body damage?
It depends.
What we can fix, we refer to as Minor Collision Damage. This usually occurs at “parking lot” speeds (usually under 10mph). This sort of damage is usually not enough to justify someone making a claim on their insurance, so they either leave it or cover it up with duct tape (don’t do that). This sort of damage is where we specialize because it also tends to be too small for most body shops to deal with. This will include surface damage that may require light body work to fill dents and smooth damage before repainting. Although we may replace a bumper cover or mirror here and there, heavier damage that requires major body work (replacing door skins, quarter panels, etc., or anything that has caused damage to the structural integrity of the vehicle) we may refuse and refer to a body shop. We are a mobile service, so we are limited in what damage we can repair. We gladly accept all inquires so please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have about your situation. If we cannot fix it, we will gladly recommend someone who can.

What kind of products do you use? Will the repair last?
All of the products we use are some of the best available from many of the industry’s leading brands like PPG Paints, 3M, Rubberseal Medallion, and Evercoat to name a few. Between using high quality paints and products, in conjunction with meticulous surface preparation, repair and painting practices we can ensure a quality end result that will last for many years to come.
Can I bring my car to your shop?
Because we are 100% mobile we do not have a store front or shop. All repairs are performed at an agreed upon location between the customer and Auto Finesse. Whether that is at the customers home, place of work, or any other location we are permitted to work at.
Can you Detail my car?
We do not provide car cleaning and detail services. However, in many cases we will do scratch removal when only a few panels have been damaged. We do paint “repair” which is a little different from paint correction. A full on detailing shop has a greater ability to service an entire vehicle and remove most light scratches, whereas Auto Finesse can help correct deep scratches with heavy buffing or a combination of “wet sanding” (a process of using extremely fine sand paper and a liquid lubricant), touch-up, and buffing to remove as much of the scratch as possible. We classify what we do as more of a “spot repair” and not detailing.
Good to know:
In any detail or scratch removal service, most scratches may only be made better. All paints are formulated to have optimal UV protection at a certain thickness (as thin as a piece of human hair, depending on the manufacturer). Due to the extremely thin nature of paints and clear coats (the final, glossy surface of your paint) even a small scratch may dig half way or more in to the clear coat. Because of this, removal of clear by sanding and/or buffing has the ability to remove enough material that could eventually lead to paint failure. Paint failure could cause paint to chip easier and/or may become dull, cloudy, and faded and eventually begin to peel away from the surface due to UV ray exposure. Although rare, there can be no guarantee that this may be a possibility, whether we or any other detail company were to buff or remove scratches from a vehicle. However, this is why the use of waxes or other sealers or ceramic coatings are a great idea to have because they all add an extra layer of protection to prevent damage from our suns harmful rays. We ALWAYS recommend having at minimum a good coat of wax on your vehicle. Just make sure you wait 30-90 days before applying coatings to freshly painted surfaces.
